I Am a Social Health Awards 2025 Finalist!

I was really surprised to receive the news while on holiday last week, that I am a Social Health Awards Finalist for this year!

Categories I was nominated for and thus being for were:

  • Lifetime Achievement
  • Community Cultivator
  • Advocacy Trailblazer
  • Social Media Master
  • Creative Contributor
  • Revolutionary Researcher

I have been selected as a finalist for the Revolutionary Researcher category.

The Revolutionary Researcher category aims to celebrate health advocates who refuse to let medical jargon slow them down! The winner of this category stays up-to-date on the latest research, treatments, and clinical trials, and has a knack for transforming complex information into layman’s terms for the greater community.

This means so much to me as I celebrate 10 years in the health advocacy world, breaking down medical jargon and making crucial information for thyroid patients more accessible via the hundreds of website articles I’ve written, the social media posts, weekly email newsletters, my four bestselling thyroid books and so much more. Breaking down confusing and overwhelming information to make it usable is at the very core of what I do.

Going from being in such poor health with autoimmune hypothyroidism, to thriving in life again and sharing that with other thyroid patients, has been one heck of a ride.

I am excited that thyroid disease is in the spotlight and I feel so privileged to be in this position.

As many of you know already, I work hard in advocating for better awareness, diagnosis and treatment of hypothyroidismHashimoto’s and all its related conditions and effects to our lives, and when I say that I am passionate about giving thyroid patients a voice and helping as many people as possible, I really do mean it. Thyroid advocacy is my passion.

Winners of the Social Health Awards are announced on September 12th at a virtual ceremony!
